Just ask Customer Success Manager Elisa, who now zips around town on her Riese & Müller Multicharger longtail bike. Grocery runs, kid pick-ups, picnic adventures, or a quick commute—this ride does it all. And with serious style.
So, why a longtail?
“We’ve tried everything,” Elisa laughs. “A bike trailer, a cargo bike, you name it.” The cargo bike was a favorite when the kids were younger, but once she started at Joule—and got access to the awesome lease-a-bike plan—she made the switch.
“It’s so much more agile. And when I’m riding solo, it just feels like a regular e-bike. Super convenient.”
Perfect for the kids, uh, Colruyt crates
Her pick? A Riese & Müller. No coincidence. “It’s top quality, with big wheels—great for longer distances and really comfy.” Her favorite feature? “The extended rear rack. You can fit anything on there.”
And she means anything. “A Colruyt crate fits perfectly. And those Flandria fruit trays? Ideal for the front rack.”
Her only “oops” during the process? “I didn’t realize there was a step-through model too, so now I’m riding what Laurens jokingly calls my ‘man bike’.” 🤷♀️😄
What about the kids?
“They mostly ride their own bikes now, but for longer distances—or when we’re in a rush—they still love hopping on the back. Especially the longtail. The only issue? There’s always a debate about who gets the ‘prime seat’!”
Biking is life✨
For Elisa, biking is way more than just getting from A to B. She uses her longtail for everything: errands, school drop-offs, scenic rides along the Scheldt river. “My favorite route? All the way to Gentbrugse Meersen, or even out toward Melle.”
So, what does Elisa do as a CSM at Joule?
“As a CSM, I help roll out bike plans for bigger clients—like GO! School Group,” she explains. “I work with HR teams to figure out the best way to get their employees on bikes, fast. Whether that’s info sessions, test rides, or tailored comms campaigns—we make it work for them.”
What she loves most about her job? “The freedom. The trust. The flexibility. And the fact that we’re literally getting people moving. That feels good.”
