General Accountant

‍🔍 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We don’t like to put labels on people, but you do love to put a BGAAP account on an invoice. You dream of account 70 and you happily dive into billing histories to hunt down a missing payment.

You also:

• hold a higher education degree in accounting or finance,
• have at least 2 years of experience in accounting,
• ideally already worked with Odoo,
• have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail,
• can work independently with precision and structure, and master prioritization,
• have high integrity standards, demonstrating transparency, trustworhtiness and accountability,
• are not afraid to question the status quo and speak-up.  
• speak Dutch fluently. French is a plus.

🧻 YOUR ROLE

Welcome to the world of operational leasing. Behind the scenes, many different financial flows are constantly moving: invoicing, financing, lease contract terminations, and more. To keep this engine running, we are looking for someone who will become the right hand of our CFO.

As General Accountant, you will create value for the entire business. Your role is primarily accounting and administration, with a smaller part in projects and support.

Accounting and Administration (80%):

• Invoicing & payments
  
  • Recording incoming and outgoing invoices and credit notes.
  • Processing and reconciling bank transactions and cash operations.

• General bookkeeping
  
  • Maintaining accurate records of assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses in the general ledger.
  • Preparing monthly and annual closings.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including debtor management.

• Compliance & audit
  
  • Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial documentation in line with accounting standards.
  • Collaborating with external accountants and investor finance teams to keep financial administration up to date and legally compliant.
  • Preparing audit files and supporting auditors.

Projects and Support (20%):

• Projects and process optimization: Analyzing financial trends and variances and proposing and managing improvements to enhance accounting processes. ‍
• Management Support: Recording financial data, supporting internal and external financial reporting, and assisting the CFO with budgeting and forecasting.
